Sunway Resort - Arugambay, A HOME out of HOME is one of the most unique holiday resorts situated in the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. Lovely Arugam Bay, a moon-shaped curl of soft sand, is home to a famed point break that many regard as the best surf spot in the country. If you’re not a surfer, there are plenty of other draws: the village is packed with beachfront guesthouses and restaurants and has a mellow, swing-another-day-in-a-hammock kind of vibe that’s totally removed from the brash west-coast beach resorts. Arugam Bay also makes a great base for several adventures in the surrounding hinterland. During the low season (November to April) things get very quiet and many places shut up shop altogether, but it can also be a beautiful time to visit, with few tourists and glistening green landscapes.

Let us share our home cooking with you at Danny’s Sri Lankan Restaurant! Since 2005, Danny and Priya have been preparing popular dishes and personal favorites from the cuisine of Eastern Sri Lanka. We use only the freshest ingredients, and include unique touches that you will only find at our restaurant. Our garden patio restaurant is the perfect place for anything from a quiet breakfast to a large family dinner. We can accommodate any sized party, as well as prepare barbecues, if you let us know in advance. Danny and Priya invite you to learn how to cook the Sri Lankan dishes that you enjoy the most with their cooking classes! We can also arrange picnic meals on our property. Additionally, we are now able to arrange tours to local natural areas, including snacks from our own kitchen.
