St. Sebastian's Convent, Kandana
St. Sebastian’s Convent is a secondary girls’ school situated in Kandana. It was founded in 1982 by the Rev. father Romould Fernando D.M.I of the St. Sebastian's Congregation. The school is located at Kandana. In addition, the Convent also form an integral part of the school.
The school is dedicated to her Patron, St. Sebastian, whose feast is commemorated on the 20 th January each year.
Discipline is a key feature of the educational process at St. Sebastian’s, and this is aptly embodied in the School motto, which is “Knowledge through the virtue”. The school colours are Maroon and White.
Extra-curricular activities are encouraged among St. Sebastian girls, who have consistently maintained high standards in sports, drama, debating, and other events. The school believes that students should be encouraged to develop a well-balanced personality through participation in these activities. The school provides many facilities for students to acquire these skills.
